How to Write a Statement of Diversity

October 8, 2018 - 2:00pm to 3:15pm

Special Topics Workshop: How to Write a Statement of Diversity

Description: As the title suggests, this workshop is dedicated to composing a diversity statement. A statement of diversity is increasingly becoming an expected component of a faculty's portfolio, and one which is becoming required as part of a complete academic job (or promotion) application. This workshop is designed such that the attendee will leave with at least a skeleton for an effective diversity statement in hand. This workshop will be presented by CETL Associate Director Anali Makoui, PhD.

Open to: All faculty (e.g. Associate Professor, Lecturer, etc.), graduate students, TAs, postdoctoral fellows, and other UCM instructional staff. We regret that our workshops are not open to undergraduate students at this time.

Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 in COB2 - 290, 2:00pm-3:15pm

Coffee, tea, and a variety of unhealthy snacks will be provided.
