Description: Wikipedia has both its advocates and critics as a resource for higher education. Yet, numerous educators have used Wikipedia as a platform where students can share their work with a public audience. This session is intended for those who wish to learn more about Wikipedia, including its fundamental principles and education resources, as you consider it as a possible tool to leverage in your classroom. UC Merced professor Dr. Susan Amussen will share her experience implementing a Wikipedia content creation piece for students in an undergraduate history course.
Presenters: Dr. Susan Amussen (Professor of History), Donald Barclay (Deputy University Librarian), Sara Davidson Squibb (Head, Research & Learning Services)
